2025 NHL Draft Rankings | November’s Top 32 (Preliminary Lists)
Once again this year, TSLH Prospects presents its preliminary list for the 2025 draft. Here, we showcase the top 32 prospects according to our scouts at this point in the year. The 2025 draft remains a challenging one for our prospect observers, as there is a lot of disparity in the evaluation of prospects. You will be able to judge for yourself with the differing evaluations in the top 10 from our experts!
In a podcast lasting over 5 hours, our scouts at TSLH Prospects delved into their preliminary list of the top prospects for the 2025 draft. The episode was initially available exclusively on Patreon and later released to everyone through our YouTube channel and on audio podcast platforms. In the first part, covering ranks 32 to 16, you can discover many lesser-known prospects from the media scene. Our scouts offer their most honest analysis based on their own viewings.
No James Hagens ?
When we reach the top 15, some prospects are already elbowing their way to the front. For the first time since the creation of TSLH Prospects, our scouts have no consensus on the identity of the prospect who holds the top spot for the 2025 draft. A five-prospect battle is shaping up for the upcoming rankings, and it will be interesting to see how things evolve when our scouts present their mid-season update around February.
You will notice that forward James Hagens has finally been displaced from the top spot among the best prospects for the 2025 draft. This was something we could have expected, but it was still a surprise to see that all the TSLH Prospects scouts were unanimous on this matter. With the World Junior Championship and the experience he is currently gaining in the NCAA, James Hagens could very well make a strong comeback during the 2024-2025 season.
Good Crop from the QMJHL
The QMJHL is expected to have a strong draft class, according to our scouts. Indeed, two to three prospects from the league are featured on our scouts’ lists. Two of them are likely to compete for a spot in the top 10 of the best prospects for the 2025 draft. With Caleb Desnoyers‘ recent performance at the Prospect Challenge, we can expect some consensus around the top 10 for the forward from the Moncton Wildcats. Moreover, in the second round, we are also likely to see some QMJHL prospects get selected. Therefore, we shouldn’t have to wait too long before hearing a QMJHL name called in the 2025 draft, and the league’s selections should be steady throughout the evening.
