Jakob Ihs-Wozniak Bounces Back | 2025 NHL Draft
Like last season, TSLH Prospects will publish a weekly report on the offensive performances of prospects eligible for the 2025 NHL Draft. Each week, we will tour the globe to identify players performing in their respective leagues, regardless of the level. This week, we will look at the European prospects, specially Jakob Ihs-Wozniak.

Victor Eklund Makes His Case for the 2025 NHL Draft
Since mid-October, Victor Eklund has been among the top-performing prospects in Europe. The Swede is playing in the second division league in his country and has accumulated 13 points in 15 games so far. For a player his age, it’s an impressive record. The forward is a constant threat on the ice, standing out with his high pace and a shot that challenges the goaltenders in the HockeyAllsvenskan. Despite his size, Victor Eklund, much like his brother, isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty to create offensive opportunities.
Eddie Genborg Continues His Offensive Domination in the J20 Nationell
Eddie Genborg is impressing with his offensive output. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound Swedish forward has recorded 25 points, including 15 goals, in 17 games with Linkoping. He has also played in the SHL, although he did not score in 4 games (he did not play that much). Since mid-October, he has tallied 8 points in 4 games. The combination of skills and size is what attracts attention, but it would be interesting to see him play more in the SHL this season to solidify a selection within the top 64 picks next June.
Jakob Ihs-Wozniak Bounces Back for the 2025 Draft
After a difficult Hlinka-Gretzky tournament and a slow start to the season, Jakob Ihs-Wozniak has much to prove to win over observers. With 6 points in his last 4 games, the prospect seems to be returning to the conversation for the top 20 of the 2025 NHL Draft. He was heavily criticized for a lack of physicality in his game and a tendency to opt for finesse in his actions.
Recently, Jakob Ihs-Wozniak has shown more physical involvement, as well as better puck possession. He is making more of an impact both near the net and beyond his offensive talent. This is promising because, if he continues on this trajectory, he could find himself in the top 10 on public NHL draft lists and return to the SHL with Lulea later in the season.
